The Marc Jacobs collection include ready to wear, shoes, bags and jewellery for both man, women and children. The Marc Jacobs label has also launched Eyewear and the Fragrances Daisy and Marc Jacobs Women Splash.

The Marc By Marc Jacobs is the casual and less expensive collection of the two and was launched in 2000. The collection include jewelry, shoes, bags, swimwear, eyewear and ready to wear styles.

Biography

Marc Jacobs was born in NY in 1953 and launched the first collection under his name in 1986. In 1993 the company Marc Jacobs International Company, L.P was founded and he joined Louis Vuitton in 1997. Marc Jacobs has won several fashion designer awards such as the:

• The Women’s Designer of the Year Award
• Perry Ellis Award for New Fashion Talent.
• Perry Ellis Gold Thimble Award
• the Chester Weinberg Gold Thimble Award
• the Design Student of the Year Award.

Today the company includes 100 stores worldwide and the founders Marc Jacobs and Robert Duffy are engaged in over 60 charity organizations to give something back to the community.

In the private life Marc is open gay and he plans to marry the Brazilian Lorenzo Martone in Massachussets. The engagement took place in March 2009.
