About the Filippa K founders

Filippa Knutsson and Patrik Kihlborg started the company in 1993. Filippa had then worked six years at her parents’ company Gul&Blå.

History of the company

In 1996 the stretch jeans was a true fashion boom in Scandinavia. The year after two Filippa K stores opened in Stockholm and Olso, and the company was awarded Guldknappen “Sweden Fashion Designer of the Year”. Distribution to US and Canada started in 2003. In 2008 a Flag ship store will open in San Francisco USA. The brand is today sold in 20 countries and has 4o stores in Europe and USA. The headquarters are located in Stockholm, Sweden.
